It is quite apt that the logo for the Fred Perry Laurel collection is derived from the rich sporting success of its founder who gave the brand its name. Fred Perry was a three time Grand Slam winner at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, an achievement that he was deservedly proud of. When tasked with coming up for a logo for his new clothing label, Perry could think of nothing more apt than the famous wreath that adorned his Wimbledon medals.
Despite the company originally being a sportswear brand, it soon became entrenched in British fashion culture, and became strongly associated with the mod, skinhead and football casual movements. Here at Philip Browne we are proud stockists of the Fred Perry Laurel collection which includes a range of shirts and polo shirts.
