Holubar was founded in Boulder, Colorado in 1946, initially offering climbing equipment, backpacks and parkas in their collections. Since then the brand has expanded to include headwear and knitwear as well as their highly respected mountaineering jackets.
Holubar can be credited with some innovations that have become the norm in the world of tough, functional performance jackets. The classic 'sandwich' filling in a down jacket (nylon/down layer/nylon) and the water repellent, durable 60/40 fabric can be attributed to Holubar.
This season we are proud to stock a range of down and shell jackets from Holubar, including the unlined 'Deer Hunter' as worn by Robert de Niro in Michael Cimino's classic 1978 film of the same name.
